Reiki: Supporting Relaxation, Balance, and the Nervous System
Sometimes the body needs more than physical treatment. It needs a chance to pause, quiet the noise, and reconnect.
Reiki is a gentle energy-based practice that can support deep relaxation, emotional balance, and a greater sense of calm. At Inner Spring Wellness, I offer Reiki as part of an intuitive, heart-centered approach to healing.
What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle form of energy work that originated in Japan. During a session, the practitioner works with energy through light touch or with the hands held just above the body.
There is no force or manipulation involved. The intention is to create a peaceful environment where you can relax and allow your body and nervous system to settle.
Many people describe Reiki as deeply calming and restorative.
Reiki and the Nervous System
Our nervous systems are constantly responding to the world around us.
Stress, busy schedules, emotional experiences, physical discomfort, and simply having too much on our plates can make it difficult to truly relax.
Reiki offers an opportunity to step away from that constant stimulation and enter a quieter state.
When we create space for relaxation, we give the body an opportunity to shift out of a state of constant activation and toward rest and restoration.
What Does a Reiki Session Feel Like?
A Reiki session is typically performed while you are comfortably lying down, fully clothed.
You may feel warmth, tingling, subtle sensations, or a deep sense of relaxation. Some people simply experience a feeling of peacefulness and quiet.
There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki. Every person's response is unique.
Reiki at Inner Spring Wellness
My approach to Reiki is intuitive and heart-centered.
Depending on what you're experiencing, a session may include Reiki, Dar'Shem Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, or other supportive modalities.
I create space to listen—not only to what you're telling me, but also to what your body and energy may be communicating.
More Than Just Relaxation
While relaxation is often an important part of Reiki, many people seek energy work when they feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, depleted, or simply in need of a reset.
Energy work can provide a quiet space to turn inward, reconnect with yourself, and create room for reflection and restoration.
Creating Space to Heal
Healing doesn't always have to be about doing more.
Sometimes it begins with slowing down.
At Inner Spring Wellness, my intention is to create a compassionate and supportive space where you can step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with yourself, and allow your body, mind, and energy to settle.
Reiki is one of the many ways I support that process.
